This centre is located at the Japanese Water Garden Site, which is now a new tram terminal site.  The tram gives direct access to Nottingham, Clifton and Hucknall, including Nottingham Train Station.  The site is situated a the top of the A52 directly off the M1.   The site is home to a lovely 40s tea shop and a specialised Koi and pet shop.

Here you will observe the hoist being used and lift method.  Anne Westwood, the owner has worked in hydrotherapy for over 10 years.  You will have the opportunity to engage with regular clients to ask about their pets conditions and how hydrotherapy is helping them.  You can look at various pieced of equipment and have the opportunity to place jackets and harnesses on our demo dogs.

During your shadow training here, you will use the hoist, spa and also become involved with the showering and drying of patients.

Ashby Canine Hydrotherapy Centre is set in the beautiful countryside  just outside Ashby De La Zouch in Packington.  The Centre is purpose built and is set back next to the owners own home. 

For clients travelling over longer distances for their practical experience days,  B&B is offered on site.  The Centre offers clients time to observe Elaine, the Owner and Hydrotherapist in the pool with patients.  Clients will spend time  gaining experience alongside Elaine in the pool with various patients and learn how to enter and exit the pool safely and conduct sessions under supervision.  Patients are pre-showered and showered as part of the process and all clients will also be part of this process before any assessments take place.

Elaine has a long history of working with dogs and has a British Insitiute of Professional Dog Trainers Qualification and continues her passion with agility training  at Sydespretz Agility School.

There are tea and coffee making facilities, a shower and a changing room for convenience.  A wet suit and suitable footwear is required for practical days.



Splashy Pups/Muppets Canine Therapy

This centre is situated in the heart of Sheffield, 10 minutes drive from the Train Stations, with good links to the M1.  Kate Clapperton, Owner of the Centre is the Trainer and Assessor.  Kate has worked in the Animal Care Industry for many years and also runs a dog agility centre from this site.   The Centre has pool facility and also a treadmill on site.  As part of the practical experience here, clients will observe full hydrotherapy sessions with various patients and may also the Treadmill in operation.  Clients will be assessed practically in the pool after gaining experience over 2 days.

Practical shadowing training days are only arranged after Module 1 and 2 are completed.  Most clients complete their time at this centre after completing all 3 modules.  Wet suit, appropriate shoes are required for practical units.
